Job summary

Mactac North America is seeking a Manager, Plant Process Technology to lead the combined Engineering and Quality Control organization at the Scranton, PA site. You will own the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), drive continuous improvement, and manage a team focused on reducing waste, costs, and customer complaints through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

The role reports to the Plant Manager, with direct reports, and collaborates across Operations, R&D, and Customer Service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, continuous improvement or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in quality control or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in papermaking, converting or printing industries preferred.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems – ISO 9001:2015 required.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management or Total Quality Control desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality control technicians.
• Develop and execute a portfolio of continuous improvement projects to increase uptime and reduce defects.
• Manage the strategic alignment of the process engineering group.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and serve as system management representative.
• Ensure long-term compliance to the QMS through auditing and reporting.
• Train and mentor staff in quality management techniques and safety pillars.
