Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Davidson, NC seeks a Senior Director, Business Process Excellence to lead the design, documentation, standardization and continuous improvement of core processes for a scalable, cost-efficient organization.

You will drive Lean-Six Sigma initiatives, map processes, develop KPIs, partner with Finance, and coach teams to achieve priority outcomes while aligning with MSC's strategic roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Six Sigma black belt is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in Continuous Improvement.
• Five years senior management experience in a large complex organization including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.
• Minimum of seven years leading others.
• Demonstrated success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels.
• A recognized thought leader and innovator in the development of new tools, methodologies, and problem-solving approaches.
• Thorough knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process Assessment: Conduct evaluations of current business processes to determine inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Process Mapping & Continuous Improvement: Create detailed process maps and workflows; lead Lean-Six Sigma initiatives and standardize tools.
• Performance & Value Realization: Define and track KPIs; quantify and communicate cost savings and productivity benefits; collaborate with Finance on benefits.
• Collaboration: Align projects with MSC strategic roadmap; drive cross-functional teamwork and training content.
• Team Management: Lead the Corporate-level Continuous Improvement Team; mentor and develop associates.
• Other: Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
