Job summary

The role requires 5–10+ years of GC estimating experience, leadership skills, and the ability to develop templates and cost databases for a scalable preconstruction pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in commercial GC estimating, including ground-up construction.
• Experience leading an estimating team.
• Ability to build standards, templates, and cost databases for a scaling department.
• Not a fit: residential-only, subcontractor/single-trade, or owner's rep/CM-agency background without GC-side estimating.

We are a commercial General Contractor in the Denver metro area, with a clear plan to scale to $50M and ultimately $100M+, is hiring a hands-on Chief Estimator & Director of Preconstruction. Company details will be shared with qualified candidates.

About the Role

This is a builder's role first - someone who personally estimates complex and ground-up commercial projects every week, not someone who only reviews or delegates. The estimating and preconstruction department is being scaled now, the standards and team you put in place become the backbone the company scales on.

Responsibilities

• Personally estimate on a regular basis; lead and mentor our estimating team
• Build and lead preconstruction from pursuit through turnover - constructability, VE, GMP, technical negotiation
• Build the standards, templates, and cost database a scaling department needs

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in commercial GC estimating, including ground-up construction - not only renovation or TI work
• Not a fit: residential-only, subcontractor/single-trade, or owner's rep/CM-agency background without GC-side estimating
