Laphcc is seeking a Director of Plant Maintenance to oversee the maintenance department in a long-term care center. The role focuses on safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance while managing preventative tasks and facility operations.

The position requires experience in basic trades, knowledge of plant support systems, and the ability to train staff. A professional image and commitment to resident rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long term care center preferred.
• Ability to read and write English for business necessity.
• Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
• Experience in basic trades preferred.
• Knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff and visitors in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
• Requires full range of body motion.
• Maintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.
• Understands department budget.
• Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• May train personnel to meet Center needs.
• Participates in assigned meetings and in-services.
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
