Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Florida seeks a Director of Philanthropy Operations to lead the Florida BU Development Operations Team and drive the annual fundraising strategy. This role will shape a vision for philanthropy operations and ensure alignment with statewide goals.

You will oversee donor engagement, communications, major gift management, and philanthropy operations—gift coding, research, administration and project management—while guiding the team to maximize fundraising impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.
• Experience in planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities.
• Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience developing, managing, and implementing multiple projects and strategic goals.
• Experience working across complex organizations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple organizational levels.
• Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, and procedures of relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Direct four key areas within philanthropy operations, including donor engagement and events, communications, major gifts, and operations.
• Oversee gift processing, fundraising reporting, and prospect management.
• Lead a team to build a donor/prospect pipeline and portfolio of principal/major gifts.
• Coordinate campaign operations and ensure fundraising targets are met.
• Develop, track and report program metrics and progress to senior leadership.
