Cityblock Health is seeking a Director, People Strategy & Optimization to act as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and People Leadership Team. The role focuses on translating strategy into executable action, delivering executive communications, and driving accountability across the People function through analytics-driven insights.

The role requires building board-ready materials, managing complex, cross-functional programs, and influencing without formal authority to achieve

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic operations, program management, or comparable high-accountability role.
• Proven ability to build executive- and board-level presentations with data storytelling.
• Experience preparing materials for or presenting to a Board of Directors or Compensation Committee.
• Strong fluency in people analytics to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Experience using Workday or similar HRIS to access workforce data.
• Proven ability to influence without formal authority and manage complex stakeholder dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to the People Leadership Team and strategic partner across organizational matters.
• Help prioritize priorities for leadership visibility and team-level execution.
• Own executive- and org-wide communications, including Board materials and Talent/Compensation content.
• Translate people data into clear, decision-ready narratives and insights.
• Lead cross-functional programs from strategy through execution with accountability and discipline.
