Job summary

GreatAmerica Bank National Association in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to align business objectives with employees and leadership across designated units. This role partners across HR to deliver value-added services reflecting the company’s strategy and culture.

You will lead HR initiatives, attract and retain talent, guide performance and compensation discussions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive engagement and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent).
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• At least five years in consultative HR roles with broad HR discipline experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the HR Leadership Team, enabling the success of GreatAmerica through modern practices and approaches that attract, retain, develop, and care for talent throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Provides HR guidance and influence on business strategy to assigned functions.
• Analyze trends with HR leadership to develop solutions, programs, and policies that increase effectiveness.
• Lead the enterprise talent acquisition strategy and partner with leaders to design and improve recruitment processes.
• Recruit, lead, and develop HR team members delivering high-quality services.
• Align compensation decisions with the overall compensation philosophy.
• Promote consistent performance management practices and advise leaders.
• Improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Support employee engagement, analyze data, and action results of surveys.
