Job summary

GreatAmerica Financial Services in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Director of Financial & Regulatory Reporting to lead regulatory filings, GAAP financial statements, and external reporting. You will collaborate with Treasury, FP&A, Risk, and Audit to ensure accuracy and timely disclosures.

The role demands deep GAAP knowledge, banking-regulated reporting experience, and strong leadership to develop a high-performing team in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting experience.
• Experience within regulated banking environment preferred.
• Experience working with external auditors and/or regulators.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting controls, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reporting packages.
• External Financial Reporting: Lead preparation of quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
• Internal Reporting & Executive Communications: Develop recurring financial reporting packages for leadership and business units.
• Compliance, Audit & Controls: Maintain and document controls supporting regulatory and financial reporting processes.
• Technical Finance: Research and document technical accounting conclusions for emerging guidance.
• Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing reporting team and drive process improvements.
