Job summary

SmartLight Analytics in Plano, TX is seeking a Director of Managed Care Pharmacy Analytics to lead client-facing pharmacy analytics and model development, translating payment integrity findings into clear recommendations for PBMs and health plans.

You will partner with data science, product, and legal teams to shape strategy, ensure regulatory alignment, and guide contract terms with clinical and operational insight.

Qualifications

• PharmD with a Managed Care Residency preferred.
• Training in analytic methods and/or pharmacy data analysis recommended.
• 6–8 years of experience in pharmacy benefit management with client-facing or PBM-facing experience.
• 3 years' experience analyzing pharmacy claims data, especially payment integrity issues.
• Ability to interpret PBM contract terms and connect them to clinical and financial impact.
• Comfortable partnering closely with an analytics team and speaking independently to findings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary pharmacy/clinical SME on client calls, translating analytics into actionable stories.
• Know PBM operations, claims adjudication, and pricing/rebate terms.
• Potentially lead PBM RFP evaluations and ensure contract/financial guarantees are sound.
• Shape and validate clinical logic behind pharmacy models and AI development.
• Ensure analytics capabilities align with clinical/operational needs across products.
