Job summary

City of Lenoir seeks a seasoned recreation management professional to lead supervisory activities in the municipal Parks & Recreation Department. You will oversee Center Directors, implement programming plans, and ensure robust record-keeping and budgeting for facilities and services.

The candidate should hold a four-year degree in recreation management (or related field), with at least five years of supervisory experience in organized recreation.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in recreation management, exercise physiology, or related field.
• Minimum five years in supervision in organized recreation work.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• CPRP preferred.
• Residency in City within 12 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise the activities of Center Directors and other subordinates.
• Maintain records and prepare accurate reports.
• Coordinate with other departments and maintain effective working relationships.
