Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Director of Operational Technology to lead and advance the company’s OT strategy across OMS, SCADA, EMS, GMS, ADMS, and private networks. You will drive reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance while partnering with Operations, Digital/IT, Engineering, and Governance teams.

This executive role requires building high‑performing teams, setting policies, advancing analytics and forecasting, and ensuring safe, dependable electric utility operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in utility OT with significant leadership in SCADA, OMS, or telecommunications.
• Experience managing EMS, GMS, ADMS, OMS platforms, and private telecom networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for OT environment.
• Establish policies, procedures & standards for reliability, cybersecurity, and interoperability.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across SCADA, OMS, Telecom, GIS, and private network asset management.
• Direct operation, maintenance, and modernization of OMS and SCADA platforms (EMS, GMS, ADMS).
• Drive integration across OMS, SCADA, GIS, and other Enterprise Digital Systems to improve situational awareness and outage response.
