Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee seeks a Director of Operations/Deputy Food Safety Officer to oversee warehousing, receiving, distribution, inventory control and facilities across locations. You will lead, coach and develop staff, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics preferred.
• 7–10 years of Operations Management experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Multi-site experience desirable in a food banking environment.

Responsabilités

• Directs warehousing, receiving and distribution operations across multiple locations.
• Oversees inventory control, quality control, and facilities maintenance.
• Partner with VP of Operations & Logistics to align priorities, capacity and day-to-day execution.
• Builds cross-functional relationships with programs, technology, finance and external partners.
• Manages inventory accuracy, warehouse utilization and cycle counting processes.
• Reviews and improves processes, workflows and operating practices for safe, efficient operations.
• Develops and maintains equipment and facilities maintenance programs.
• Leads annual Operations budget with VP of Operations & Finance.
• Provides leadership for safety and supports organizational safety programs.
• Ensures compliance with laws, Feeding America standards and internal policies.
