Director of Operations (Tax Accounting/Strategy)

Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

This is a remote, full-time opportunity with great benefits, offering a salary of $110-130K depending on your expertise. As an Enrolled Agent, you should have success managing a team through deadlines in a public accounting or tax preparation firm, with a strong understanding of advanced business tax strategies. The team maintains high morale and is somewhat self-managed; your leadership skills will help set goals and schedules. You will review deliverables as needed, leveraging your current and impressive tax knowledge. The team operates virtually with short daily meetings and significant client contact. Note: YOU WILL NOT BE PREPARING TAX RETURNS IN THIS POSITION. Your role will focus on creating processes, overseeing multiple tax teams, and managing deadlines.

The company serves about 1,000 clients, including high-net-worth individuals and small businesses. They prioritize work-life balance, growth, entrepreneurship, and client dedication, with a stable and productive virtual team.

Required:

• Operations, production, and process improvement experience in a public accounting or tax preparation firm.
• Current leadership role such as tax preparation manager, office manager, operations manager, or similar, overseeing firm operations related to tax strategies and preparation.
• Home office setup and availability to work Monday through Friday, 8-5 pm, without disturbances, according to their remote/home office policy.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with relevant software tools, including Monday.com, G Suite, Microsoft Office, and Apple OS.

**Preferred extras:**

• Experience in a high-volume tax preparation environment.
• Experience supporting small businesses.
