Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Director, Operations in Harrisburg to lead production scheduling, facilities management, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory guidelines, and mentor a growing operations team.

The role requires 4+ years in life sciences/diagnostics with strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or chemical engineering; advanced degrees welcome.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and proven written/verbal abilities.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820/211.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build-out and management of production scheduling and facilities.
• Keep weekly group meetings to manage operational units.
• Hold weekly 1-on-1 meetings to guide and develop the team.
• Provide concise, frequent updates to all groups.
• Engage on-floor to identify opportunities and drive solutions.
• Support QA/QMS improvement and day-to-day investigations.
• Assist R&D in transferring improvements to production scale.
• Lead efficiency-improvement projects for continuous advancement.
• Review operating procedures for ongoing relevance and planning.
• Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with operations.
• Carry out other duties as required.
