Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Charities Columbia, SC is seeking an Operations Director to lead operational excellence across guest services, facilities, safety, and program support, ensuring hospitality and family-centered care. In partnership with the CEO, the role strengthens healthcare partnerships, drives continuous improvement, and aligns staffing, risk management, and budget with the mission.

This leadership position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of progressive leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, hospitality, healthcare administration, human services, operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, hospitality, healthcare, human services, nonprofit management, facilities management, or a related field, including significant staff management responsibility.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery reflecting hospitality and family-centered care.
• Oversee staffing, facilities, safety and security, emergency preparedness, and vendor partnerships.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, workflows, and service standards to enhance effectiveness and guest experience.
• Identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement, implementing practical solutions.
• Contribute to organizational planning and leadership initiatives that advance the mission and strategic goals.
