McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations-Designate to ensure smooth Transportation Department operations and 24-hr coverage.

You will supervise drivers and staff, plan routes, and coordinate outbound transportation and backhaul activities to keep products moving efficiently. Candidates should have a minimum 4-year degree in logistics or related field and 3+ years in outbound transportation, with AS/400 Mainframe, Excel, Word, Access experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree in logistics, business, accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in outbound transportation, preferably in food service.
• Experience with AS/400 Mainframe, Excel, Word, Access, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Transportation Department operations and 24-hr coverage.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate delivery and backhaul activities.
• Maintain routes, schedules, and on-time departures; ensure safety compliance.
• Train staff and enforce company policies; provide coaching when needed.
