Job summary

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions seeks a Director of Operations for the Metro Detroit area to lead regional operations, drive KPIs, and ensure adherence to quality policies. You will align safety, quality, and delivery targets with the General Manager and executive team.

Responsibilities include client relationship management, business development with anchor and OEM accounts, site visits, and continuous improvement across the region to maximize performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in automotive and/or manufacturing.
• Operational/Quality background with overview capabilities.
• Management responsibilities (operational and HR).
• Exposure to client relationship.

Overall Purpose

Direct and manage the implementation of business guidelines, strategies, policies, and operations ensuring peak performance within a specific region

Ensure financial, sales, and operational targets/KPI are met

Creates, supports, and demonstrates commitment to the company Quality Policies & QMS

Responsibilities

Client relationship & Business development

• Maintain and develop solid relationships with key contacts at anchor and OEM accounts
• Ensuring clear and transparent communication to the client with frequent and scheduled in-person meetings
• Developing business with existing clients on farming, and upselling (support provided by Sales for the quotation preparation and/or negotiation)
• Monitoring competition (services, prices...) at regional level
• Assist Sales with bringing on new business opportunities (hunting)

Operations

• Review working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative
• Frequent site visits/audits to ensure high level performance and customer satisfaction
• Motivate teams and organize appropriate training
• Ensure compliance with established KPI
• Ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services provided and region efficiency
• Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
• Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies

Organization & management

• Ensuring asset and staff availability throughout region for maximum performance
• Promote positive changes throughout organization
• Develop new processes and procedures that improve services while controlling costs
• Provide links between various departments including management
• Direct/manage recruiting to maintain staffing levels and performance considering turnover and new business
• Key contributor to company policies, systems, processes, strategies, budgets/forecast, and KPI

Technical

• Analyzing technical requirements for customers' jobs/missions (existing or upcoming)
• Pulling technical resources when needed to anticipate and fully address client needs
• Provide technical support and advice to customers and operations teams
• Support development of technical expertise at regional level
