Director of Operations (Plant Manager)

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and driving all operation activities to ensure consistent levels of production excellence are achieved and sustained while maintaining a fully engaged and talented workforce. The role provides vision and direction for the entire facility to ensure current and future success, and works to attain or exceed key performance measures, maximizing profitability by building short‑and‑long‑term strategies to meet customer, market, and competitive demands.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvements in key areas such as safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service while developing direct reports and improving the capabilities of all plant personnel.
• Build a Safety‑First culture, develop a highly motivated workforce, and serve as a positive role model of emotional intelligence and servant leadership, driving positive employee relations and delivering sustainable results.
• Continuously improve site processes and technologies, stay current in new technological developments, and develop and execute a site capital plan addressing both short‑term and long‑term opportunities.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts, implement and sustain manufacturing best practices and procedures, and meet or exceed relevant certifications and qualifications such as OSHA, AlB, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, and FDA.
• Identify and eliminate potential sources of food safety risk, deliver site environmental, health, and safety performance, and work to exceed expectations for all internal and external audits.
• Act as a liaison between plant personnel and corporate functions, build solid relationships, and effectively communicate urgent issues both internally and externally to the site as needed, developing action plans and coordinating team member activities to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Develop a highly effective site leadership team by applying high standards for selection and continued performance, establishing clear and stretching goals, communicating and delegating key responsibilities, and actively utilizing all performance, development, and career tools to their full potential.
• Require Lean, A3, and relevant TPM skill sets with demonstrated problem‑solving capability, competent in identifying root causes of issues and adept at developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent problems from repeating.
• Implement Lean and TPM across all site areas to elevate site performance, and develop, deploy, and sustain Leader Standard Work to ensure continued success of these efforts.

Total Rewards

• Salary Range: $155,500 - $205,000 (placement may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors)
