Job summary

BlastOne International, a global leader in industrial corrosion control, seeks a Director of Operations to drive product execution from order entry to delivery. You will lead safety, quality, purchasing, inventory, assembly, and logistics while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong stakeholder collaboration.

You will shape staffing models, manage ERP utilization, and align operations with revenue and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in Production and Operations Management, in an engineered product environment.
• Proven ability to lead an operational team within a leadership group.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business.
• Proficiency with ERP systems to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Executive sponsor of the BlastOne Safety Team and safe, compliant work environment.
• Ensure production, assembly, purchasing, schedules and capacity meet customer needs.
• Develop staffing models reflecting growth and efficiency improvements.
• Provide schedule visibility and feedback to Program Management.
• Lead ERP utilization to support delivery performance and resource use.
• Track cost data and inform budgets, projections and scheduling models.
• Align revenue recognition and delivery with the operational plan.
• Develop annual Operations budget aligned with the business forecast.
• Direct responsibility for Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory & Warehouse, Production & Assembly, Quality, Shipping & Receiving.
• Champion daily communication cadence with KPI-driven feedback loops.
• Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps.

The Role

The Director of Operations is accountable for product execution from order entry through delivery including safety, quality, purchasing, inventory management, assembly, delivery, transportation & logistics, and facilities & equipment. This role is responsible for leading through a culture of continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations, while being a steward of the BlastOne business and continually improving operating performance.

Points Of Responsibility Include

• Executive sponsor of the BlastOne Safety Team. Ensure that we provide a safe and compliant work environment for our employees.


• Ensure that production, assembly, purchasing, schedules and capacity support customer and project requirements


• Develop and maintain staffing models for the Operations Team that reflect business growth projections and improvements in efficiency and effectiveness


• Provide schedule visibility and “ahead/behind” feedback to Program Management the BlastOne organization


• Lead BlastOne utilization and optimization of the ERP System to support business objectives including delivery performance and utilization of resources (inventory, manpower, cash, floorspace, etc.)


• Track and improve the timeliness and accuracy of COGS data. Utilize historical cost data (labor and materials) to inform future projections, costing and scheduling models and budgets


• Align business expectations (revenue recognition, delivery performance) with the operational plan and schedule


• Develop the annual budget for Operations aligned with the Annual Operating Plan and Business Forecast


• Direct responsibility for Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory & Warehouse, Production & Assembly, Quality, Shipping & Receiving


• Champion daily communication cadence with the Operations Team supported by KPI’s and a feedback loop that drive improvements


• Collaborate with other departments to identify and close operational gaps.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience with Production and Operations Management, ideally in an engineered product environment


• Deep familiarity with the deployment and optimization of ERP systems to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies in a manufacturing environment


• Demonstrated ability to lead an operational team to successful outcomes and act as a collaborative and influential member of a leadership team


• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business


• Must be highly professional and presentable.


• Must be comfortable with multitasking and managing multiple concurrent projects with deadlines.


• Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational & critical thinking skills.


• Must be able to demonstrate ability to effectively communicate at all levels.


• Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with ERP software in a Supply Chain Planning role, ideally NetSuite


• Lean - Six Sigma Experience would be a Plus


• Office/Warehouse Environment


• M-F between the hours of 7am-5pm
