Metro One Security is seeking a Director of Operations for the Central & Southeast Regions to oversee a regional portfolio of retail security operations across client locations in the Chicago area and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years leading multi-site operations, with strong Asset Protection or Loss Prevention background, and a track record of driving workforce optimization, financial oversight, and client satisfaction. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Director of Operations – Central & Southeast Regions to oversee a regional portfolio of retail security operations across multiple client locations.

Retail industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly within Asset Protection (AP), Loss Prevention (LP), retail security, or multi-site retail operations.

This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, workforce performance, financial accountability, client satisfaction, and service delivery throughout a multi-state region.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operations leader with experience managing complex, multi-site operations. This individual brings a strong background in client relationship management, operational leadership, workforce optimization, and financial oversight, with the ability to lead high-performing teams while delivering measurable business results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Security Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing multi-site security, operations, or service programs.
• Retail industry experience preferred, particularly in Asset Protection (AP) or Loss Prevention (LP).
• Proven experience leading regional operations supporting multiple clients across geographically dispersed locations.
• Strong knowledge of workforce management, labor planning, operational reporting, compliance, and service delivery.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and operational financial performance.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams while building strong client relationships and driving operational excellence.
• Experience implementing operational improvements through technology, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% based on business needs.

• Partner with regional leadership and clients to strengthen relationships, resolve operational challenges, and identify opportunities to enhance service and grow existing business.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Drive workforce planning, staffing strategies, scheduling, and operational readiness to ensure contract compliance and service excellence.
• Monitor operational performance through reporting, analytics, audits, and key performance indicators while implementing best practices that improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Manage regional financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost controls to achieve operational and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support new account implementations, operational transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize technology, reporting tools, and operational data to improve performance, enhance decision-making, and drive consistent execution across the region.
• Salary Range: $90,000–$110,000 per year
