Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operational functions to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery.

This role involves strategic planning, operational leadership, and collaboration with department heads and division chiefs to align operations with the hospital's goals and regulatory requirements. This position plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital and department, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the hospital's mission, goals, and long-term objectives.
  • Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient care outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the operational budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial performance aligns with targets.
  • Ensure hospital and department operations comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Stay updated on healthcare technologies and systems, implementing new tools to improve operational performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration required or Bachelor's Degree Business Administration required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials

Experience in healthcare operations or a related area 8-10+ years required and Experience in management or leadership 5-7 years required
