Job description

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading Anisa International's order management, planning, logistics, and operational systems to ensure efficient and reliable execution from customer purchase order through final delivery.

This role will serve as the operational link across Sales, Project Management, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, ensuring customer demand is translated into executable plans, orders move accurately and on time, and teams have clear visibility to priorities, risks, and delivery commitments.

A critical mandate of this position is to strengthen and optimize the systems, processes, and workflows that support Anisa International's operations. The Director will identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data integrity, increase automation, establish meaningful KPIs, and maximize the use of NetSuite and other operational platforms.

Accountabilities are divided into two areas. The Director directly owns operational planning, systems and process optimization, performance and analytics, and cross-functional leadership.

The Director provides oversight of order management, logistics, and master data, which are executed day to day by the Operations Manager, a direct report to this role. In those areas, the Director sets standards, priorities, controls, and escalation paths and provides high-level input as needed.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with a hands-on understanding of order management, planning, logistics, ERP systems, and continuous improvement.

DIRECT ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Director owns and leads the following areas.

Planning & Operational Readiness
  • Own operational planning processes that connect customer demand, production requirements, inventory, and delivery schedules.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership to align customer requirements with production capacity and priorities.
  • Maintain forward-looking visibility to demand, production requirements, shipment timing, and potential constraints.
  • Establish disciplined planning cadences and cross-functional operating reviews.
  • Identify capacity, inventory, material, or timing risks and drive mitigation plans with the appropriate functional owners.
  • Lead inventory planning and optimization strategy to balance customer service, working capital, and operational requirements.
  • Develop planning tools and reporting that improve forecast visibility and decision-making.
Systems & Process Optimization
  • Serve as the operational business owner for NetSuite and related systems supporting order management, planning, inventory, and logistics.
  • Assess current workflows and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, standardize, or eliminate manual processes.
  • Drive system enhancements that improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, visibility, and scalability.
  • Establish clear business requirements for system changes and partner with internal and external technical resources on implementation.
  • Improve integration and information flow between Salesforce, NetSuite, and operational workflows.
  • Develop standardized operating procedures and ensure consistent adoption across teams.
  • Lead change management and training related to new operational processes and systems.
Operational Performance & Analytics
  • Establish and maintain an Operations KPI framework and dashboard.
  • Track performance across order accuracy, on-time delivery, lead times, logistics costs, inventory, order cycle time, master data quality, and operational exceptions.
  • Use data to identify root causes, recurring bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop measurable improvement initiatives and track results.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility to operational performance, risks, and corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development
  • Act as a key connector between Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional teams.
  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, handoffs, and escalation paths across the order-to-delivery process.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving customer service, speed, cost, and operational scalability.
  • Develop and document operating processes that support Anisa International's growth.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor the Operations team, including the Operations Manager, establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Build a culture of accountability, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate closely with Manufacturing team members; this role does not own the plant or the manufacturing function.
OVERSIGHT ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following areas are executed day to day by the Operations Manager. The Director sets direction, standards, and controls, reviews performance, and serves as the escalation point.

Order Management & Customer Delivery
  • Set the operating standards and controls for the end-to-end order management process, from customer purchase order through production coordination, shipment, delivery, and order closure.
  • Define the escalation framework for order exceptions, delays, and changes; serve as the escalation point for high-impact orders and cross-functional conflicts.
  • Partner with Sales and Project Management leadership to ensure clean handoff from development to production and order execution.
  • Review open orders, at-risk orders, and on-time delivery performance with the Operations Manager on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure organization-wide visibility to order status and customer delivery commitments.
Logistics Management
  • Set logistics strategy across international and domestic shipments, including mode-selection guidelines and freight approval thresholds.
  • Own strategic relationships and commercial terms with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, including contract negotiations and periodic business reviews.
  • Ensure controls are in place for accurate shipping, customs, country-of-origin, and customer documentation.
  • Define logistics KPIs and vendor scorecards and review results with the Operations Manager.
Master Data Governance
  • Establish the data governance framework for areas owned by Operations, including data ownership, standards, and approval requirements for record creation and changes.
  • Support material changes to master data standards and structures in relevant platforms and systems.
  • Review master data quality results and audit findings with the Operations Manager and direct corrective action where required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in operations, order management, supply chain, planning, or logistics.
  • Minimum three years of people-management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex order-to-delivery processes within a product, manufacturing, or global supply chain environment.
  • Strong ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and workflow platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success improving business processes and implementing system or workflow improvements.
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, freight forwarding, shipping terms, inventory, and delivery management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate operational data into actions and measurable business improvements.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to create alignment across functions and levels.
  • Hands-on leader who can move between strategy, process design, analysis, and day-to-day execution.
  • High degree of accountability, attention to detail, urgency, integrity, and follow-through.
