Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a Director of Operational Excellence & Business Enablement to drive the company’s operating system across branches.

You will translate strategy into standard processes, monitor performance, and ensure sustained adoption across regions while partnering with Finance, HR, Safety, IT, and operations leadership. You will lead governance for on-time delivery, develop branch playbooks, and scale best practices while guiding analytics, training, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives into Operational Excellence priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Lead enterprise operations performance-management, including dashboards and monthly reporting.
• Own governance for On-Time and In-Full delivery performance with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain the branch operating system with standard work and playbooks.
• Lead labor-management strategy with cross-functional alignment.
• Drive technology-enabled improvements in warehouse, transport, and automation.
• Plan pilots, rollout, adoption, and sustainment of new operating capabilities.
• Manage the Operational Excellence project portfolio and coordinate with Finance on benefits.
