The Waters of Wakarusa is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services and supervise the Therapy Department with authority for resident care 24/7. The DON reports to the Administrator and ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and company policies within the facility.

We require an RN in good standing with at least 2 years of nursing service administration leadership experience in skilled nursing and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in the facility's state.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing service administration and leadership in skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

We are Hiring a Director of Nursing DON at The Waters of Wakarusa

Salary Range: Up to $120,000 $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS!

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing services staff, in addition to the supervision of the Therapy Department and its’ functions within the facility. In the absence of the Administrator, the DON assumes responsibility for the facility. The DON is responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. The DON is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

DON EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Maintains a current, valid Nursing License as a RN registered professional nurse, in good standing in the state the facility resides in.

• Possesses a minimum 2 years of experience in nursing service administration and leadership in skilled nursing.

• Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.
