Job summary

The Waters of Wakarusa is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services and supervise the Therapy Department. The DON reports to the Administrator and ensures quality resident care around the clock.

This leadership role requires an active RN license, at least two years in nursing service administration, and strong knowledge of long‑term care regulations. On-site facility in Indiana offers competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid RN license in good standing in the state where the facility resides.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing service administration and leadership in skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing services staff and supervise the Therapy Department and its functions.
• Oversee resident care operations 24/7 and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with Administrator and ensure implementation of company policies and procedures.

We are Hiring a Director of Nursing DON at The Waters of Wakarusa

Salary Range: Up to $120,000 $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS!!

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing services staff, in addition to the supervision of the Therapy Department and its’ functions within the facility. In the absence of the Administrator, the DON assumes responsibility for the facility. The DON is responsible for the overall management of resident care 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. The DON is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

DON EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Maintains a current, valid Nursing License as a RN registered professional nurse, in good standing in the state the facility resides in.

• Possesses a minimum 2 years of experience in nursing service administration and leadership in skilled nursing.

• Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.
