Job summary

AOM Healthcare in Hudson, OH is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to serve as Director of Nursing (DON). The DON will oversee the nursing department, supervise Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses, and Nurse Assistants, and ensure high-quality resident care.

Valid Ohio RN license and 2 years nursing leadership are required. Flexible scheduling, competitive salary ($90k-$110k), full benefits, PTO, ongoing training, and strong leadership support are offered to enable lasting improvements in resident

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• 2 years of nurse management experience.
• Must be available to work varying hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of current Federal and State laws and regulations for long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing staff and care planning.
• Set and monitor department goals and standards.
• Recruit and hire qualified nursing staff per staffing plan.
• Establish, implement, and update competency/skills checklists for nursing staff.
• Prepare and assure adherence to an annual operating budget for the nursing department.
• Maintain and guide the implementation of current policies and procedures, reflecting regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and address grievances.
• Establish and monitor an effective medical record documentation system.
• Maintain productive communication with residents, families, staff and community.
• Prepare and submit reports on nursing operations; participate in quality improvement.
• Attend department meetings and provide in-service education.
• Schedule and document regular nursing staff meetings for communication.
