The Director of Nursing / Branch Director role will oversee the operations of our hospice agency in Macon, GA, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and compliance with Medicare regulations. In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to our clinical and non-clinical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This role requires a visionary leader with strong clinical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for hospice care.
Responsibilities
The Hospice Branch Director is a Registered Nurse who manages all aspects of terminal care and has expertise in pain and symptom management, with previous experience in hospice nursing. Additionally, the Hospice Branch Director supervises staff, manages documentation requirements, oversees service coordination and case management. The Hospice Branch Director must have excellent communication skills and the ability to respond supportively and sensitively to the needs of employees, patients, and their families.
The Hospice Branch Director supervises the day-to-day office and clinical operations, as well as the planning, coordination, and delivery of interdisciplinary team interventions. The Hospice Branch Director is responsible for assigning appropriate staff members to patients and families, acting as a staff nurse when necessary. The role also involves participating in community awareness and education programs.
