Overview

The Director of Nursing / Branch Director will oversee the operations of our hospice agency in Augusta, GA, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and compliance with Medicare regulations. This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. We seek a visionary leader with strong clinical expertise, organizational skills, and a passion for hospice care.

Responsibilities

The Hospice Branch Director, a Registered Nurse, manages all aspects of terminal care, with expertise in pain and symptom management and hospice nursing experience. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing documentation, overseeing service coordination and case management, and ensuring effective communication. The director also supervises daily office and clinical operations, plans and coordinates interdisciplinary team interventions, assigns staff to patients/families, and participates in community awareness and education programs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience within the past 36 months and at least one year in a hospice setting
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing hospice operations
• Computer competency
