JOB TITLE (#1162): RN Health Care Facility Surveyor - Missouri

CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT certification are required.

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role involves supporting internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Requirements of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

  1. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  2. Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  3. At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
  4. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  5. Demonstrated independent decision-making skills to manage the survey process effectively.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks independently and collaboratively.
  7. Open communication skills for discussing conflicts and seeking assistance.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities of the RN Health Care Facility Surveyor:

The position is remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will work as a team member or leader on various surveys for long-term and non-long-term care facilities, including ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IIDs, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospices. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting on-site surveys to assess compliance with Federal regulations.
  2. Preparing for surveys through off-site research, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, and staff/family interviews.
  3. Evaluating aspects of healthcare quality, patient rights, and facility conditions.
  4. Communicating deficiencies to key personnel during reviews and exit conferences.
  5. Assessing and verifying corrective action plans.
  6. Performing follow-up visits to monitor corrective actions.
  7. Participating in training and work groups as needed.
