**Must be a licensed RN in the State of Virginia.

The Director of Nursing, RN will oversee all resident care across the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. The director will perform thorough health assessments for each new resident, monitor the health status of all current residents, and ensure care plans are managed successfully.

The Director of Nursing, RN will:

  • Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes their individual needs and rights. Monitor compliance with State, Federal, and Artis guidelines.
  • Perform thorough health assessments for each new resident, monitor current residents' health status, and ensure level care assessments and care plans are completed according to Artis policies and state regulations.
  • Document and report care provided and resident observations, including significant changes in physical, mental, or behavioral conditions.
  • Oversee the Care team's administration of medication and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Supervise the Care team, evaluate skills and performance, and provide ongoing coaching and training to ensure an elevated care experience for residents, in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in recruiting and retaining departmental team members.
  • Manage the Care department within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure community adherence to legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes, including emergency plans.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Current RN license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • Maintain required continuing education credits.
  • Experience in senior living, long-term care, or rehabilitative environments.
