Director of Nursing (DON)

Our client is looking for a Director of Nursing in Upper Marlboro MD. They are responsible for the organization, development, management, and administration of day-to-day nursing activities. The DON will help implement rules and expectations for the staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
  • With Shared 24/7 Accountability
  • Reviews 6 Weeks Schedules to Ensure Adequate Staffing
  • Adjusts Staff as Needed
  • Makes Daily patient Rounds And Ensures participation of Staff in Meetings
  • Team Building Skills
  • Collaborating With Physicians And Various Disciplines Within The Facilities
  • Assisting The Medical Staff With In-House Procedures
  • Communicating With Family Members

Requirements:

  • Valid RN (Registered Nurse ) License
  • 2 Years Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Leadership Experience
  • Clinical Knowledge of Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Computer Skills
  • BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skill
