What We’re Looking For
- An experienced Operating Room/Perioperative/Surgical Services Nurse Leader.
- 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager in Operating Room/Perioperative/Surgical Services.

Qualifications
- BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Active MD RN License or active Compact State RN license; BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a professional practice environment and foster staff development.
- Build collaborative relationships with healthcare teams and leadership.
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment supporting professional nursing standards.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
- Provide clinical leadership and role modeling.
- Support change management and organizational initiatives.
- Hire, evaluate, mentor, and develop staff.
- Develop and monitor departmental goals aligned with strategic plans.
- Participate in performance improvement and compliance activities.
- Foster a patient-centered care environment and handle patient/family concerns.
- Oversee supply and equipment management.
- Develop staff orientation and competency programs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and personnel actions.
- Participate in hospital committees and community outreach.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing and healthcare trends.
- Provide administrative coverage as needed and direct patient care when required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
Experience
- 3-4 years of nursing experience required; 1-2 years of management experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- RN license in Maryland or applicable jurisdiction; specialty certifications preferred or to be obtained within specified timeframes.
- CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
