Job Summary

The Director, Nursing assumes 24‑hour responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of units and other departments supervised. This Director, Nursing supervises, evaluates, and holds accountable the ongoing performance of the nursing staff based on the facility’s operational pillars. They maintain structures and processes that ensure patient‑centered care and support the development of staff through mentoring and stewardship. They support work redesign and quality improvement using evidence‑based practice to achieve clinical excellence. The Director, Nursing has fiscal responsibility for the departments’ operating budgets and administrative functions. They work collaboratively with other leaders and directors to lead initiatives with positive outcomes. Demonstrates service excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
