Job summary

North Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team, ensure high-quality resident care, and uphold compliance with regulations. The DON will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and mentor staff across shifts.

The role emphasizes strong clinical leadership, organizational excellence, and proactive problem-solving to maintain exceptional care standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing (State of Texas per posting).
• Proven leadership in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services to comply with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff.
• Support direct care by stepping in on the floor to ensure quality care.
• Review payroll submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain resident records and ensure proper documentation.
