Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks an experienced Director of Nursing ( DON ) in Avon, CT to oversee the Nursing Services department and ensure high‑quality resident care. The DON will provide clinical leadership, supervise nursing staff, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining clinical policies and staff education. The role calls for collaboration with physicians, staff, residents, and families.

Qualifications

• RN license active and unrestricted in CT or applicable state.
• BSN preferred; graduate of accredited nursing program.
• CPR certification required; gerontology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily nursing operations and resident care.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local long-term care regulations.
