Dahlia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of Alliance Health Group in North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team and ensure top-tier resident care, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance.

As DON, you will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; oversee admissions, care planning, staffing, policies, budgeting, and performance improvement—collaborating with physicians, families, and departments to enhance care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Experience as Director of Nursing or nursing leadership in skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Budgeting, staffing, and financial management experience.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, develop, and motivate nursing staff.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification as required.

Responsabilités

• Lead, supervise, and evaluate nursing personnel, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and quality care.
• Develop staffing practices to support resident needs.
• Establish department goals and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
• Oversee admissions, assessments, care planning, and resident care processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations and address deficiencies.
• Review clinical documentation, quality measures, and department performance.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage nursing department budgets and expenditures.
• Support staff development, education, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and other departments to improve care.
• Identify and resolve clinical and operational concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate and compliant nursing records and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with facility leadership regarding nursing operations.
