Confidential, a leading healthcare provider, seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department in a skilled nursing facility. The DON will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive resident-centered care with strong clinical leadership.

The ideal candidate will develop nursing teams, maintain survey readiness, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary group to improve resident outcomes while promoting a positive, accountable work

Qualifications

• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state nursing home regulations and clinical standards.
• Experience managing nursing operations, staffing, and survey readiness.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams and maintain high standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing department operations to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.
• Provide leadership to nursing supervisors, nurses, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and policies.
• Maintain survey readiness and corrective action planning.
• Monitor care plans, notes, and overall quality of care.
• Oversee infection prevention and control practices.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and performance.
• Lead clinical meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor clinical indicators and drive performance improvements.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives.
• Promote a positive, resident-centered work environment.
