Job summary

Vetter Senior Living invites experienced RNs to join a dedicated Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program. This immersive experience blends mentorship, leadership training, and practical operational exposure in a long-term care setting.

Participants gain hands-on leadership experiences, access to workshops and online resources, and potential placement as a Director of Nursing within the Vetter Senior Living network after completion. Relocation to one of our communities is required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of five years of long-term care nursing experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Willingness to relocate within the Vetter organization.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building abilities.
• Desire to grow as a leader and impact lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership capabilities of program participants.
• Mentor clinical teams and guide quality outcomes.
• Coordinate with Clinical Advisory Council.
• Prepare participants for Director of Nursing roles.
• Facilitate training through workshops, simulations, and online learning.
• Support residents and staff in a post-acute long-term care setting.

As our organization continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Registered Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their careers through our Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program.

This program is designed for motivated nursing professionals who aspire to lead clinical teams, influence quality outcomes, and ultimately advance into a Director of Nursing position within our organization.

About the Program

The Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program provides an immersive learning experience that combines mentorship, leadership training, and practical operational exposure. Participants work alongside experienced clinical leaders to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage nursing services within a long-term care setting.

The program typically spans 6 to 12 months, depending on individual progress and readiness for placement.

Leadership Development Areas

Participants will develop expertise in key areas, including:

• Clinical leadership and staff engagement
• Quality assurance and performance improvement
• Regulatory compliance and survey preparation
• Financial management and resource planning
• Resident-centered care practices
• Team coaching, accountability, and workforce development
