As the Director of Nursing for Cheer Health Care you are responsible for fiscal, operational, and compliance management. You develop new programs, recruit and interview senior management personnel, and work with the Director of Care Management for Cheer Health Care to establish procedures for measuring quality care and organizational performance.

Cheer Home Care currently provides nonmedical home care services to the aging and disabled, with a focus on companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation services, to enable our clients to continue living comfortably at home. As a Cheer Director of Nursing, your personality and skills will bring a better quality of life to seniors and adults with disabilities and or medical conditions. Your duties on a typical day may include the following:

  • Work and meet daily with the CEO on company direction and open projects.
  • Asses new clients and oversee their care plans.
  • Manage Organization's business affairs and general operations.
  • Oversee the Organization Medical compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws.
  • Run and update company current and future benefits in accordance with regulations.
  • Supervise the development of the Organization’s policies and procedures that support its purpose and goals while adhering to industry standards and established regulations.
  • Be familiar with, maintain, ensure all employees follow Organization rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Liaise with federal, state, and private organizations on behalf of the Organization.
  • Maintain written service agreements, including financial arrangements, with other service providers for relevant services required to meet client needs.
  • Devise short-term and long-term program development and modification plans.
  • Identify critical issues that may affect the Organization.
  • Provide leadership and consultation to management personnel.
  • Hold regular management and staff meetings to ensure efficient operations and communication to and from all levels of the Organization.
  • Ensure qualified employees are hired, in accordance with job descriptions and be responsible for the hiring of your team.
  • Work with Director of Care to oversee a continuous in-service training program and competent supervision to improve employee efficiency and client care.
  • Conduct informal and formal performance appraisals on nursing personnel upon completion of probation, annually and on an as-needed basis.
  • RN License is required
