Job summary

Pine Creek Rehab & Nursing in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to lead our nursing services in a geriatric care setting. The DON will oversee program development, policy maintenance, and QA initiatives to ensure high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with an associate degree (bachelor's preferred) and at least one year of nursing leadership in long-term care, with strong reading/writing and English skills.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Minimum one year of nursing leadership in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read and write clearly.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Genuine love & concern for geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the nursing programs and activities.
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives, and philosophies.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services.
• Implement plans of action to correct deficiencies.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a quality assurance program.
• Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans.
• Develop and implement a nursing services organization structure.
• Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies.
• Create, submit reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning operations of the department.
