Bel-Air Manor in Newington, CT seeks a full-time Director of Staff Development to elevate clinical practice, education, and regulatory compliance across our skilled nursing team. You'll lead orientation, ongoing education, and competency training; maintain training records; collaborate with nursing leadership; guide quality improvement and survey readiness.

The role requires CT RN license, 2+ years LTC nursing experience, and a passion for coaching staff in a supportive, patient-centered

Formación

• CT RN license valid and unrestricted.
• BSN preferred from accredited program.
• 2+ years licensed nursing experience, LTC/Skilled Nursing.
• Experience in nursing education or staff training.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership mindset with coaching and development skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• English literacy required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead orientation and ongoing education for nursing and care staff; ensure comprehensive training.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate in-service and competency training.
• Maintain records of orientation, attendance, skills assessments, certifications, and training documentation.
• Conduct educational needs assessments with nursing leadership; develop learning plans.
• Monitor staff competency; provide remediation or additional education as needed.
• Mentor staff and promote a positive learning culture.
• Stay current with regulations and educational best practices; align programs with guidelines.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and leaders on quality improvement and survey readiness.
• Coordinate training such as emergency drills and safety education; support survey readiness.
