Job description

Join to apply for the Director of Nursing Education Program role at State of Colorado.

This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position at Community College of Denver, located in downtown Denver. The college is committed to creating an inclusive environment and values diversity among students and staff.

Position Overview

The Director of Nursing Education Program (DNEP) oversees CCD’s Practical Nursing, Integrated Nursing Pathway, Nurse Aide, and future LPN to BSN programs. Responsibilities include supervising faculty, curriculum development, ensuring compliance with nursing regulations, managing budgets, and fostering community relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct Nursing Education Programs.
  • Recruit, select, and evaluate faculty; oversee faculty development and promotion.
  • Lead curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Manage educational facilities and clinical resources.
  • Ensure program compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop community and industry partnerships.
  • Participate in budget planning and administration.
  • Act as liaison with the Board of Nursing.
  • Maintain program quality, including NCLEX pass rates.
  • Oversee supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Qualifications

Minimum: Master of Science in Nursing with accreditation, active Colorado RN license, at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, 2 years of teaching experience in a nursing program, and demonstrated leadership skills.

Preferred: Doctorate in Nursing, supervisory experience, experience with accreditation and the State Board of Nursing, and practical nursing experience.
