Eagle Rock Post Acute Care at Cedar Grove is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and elevate resident care. The ideal candidate has strong nursing and management experience and holds an RN license in good standing. BSN is preferred but not required.

This role emphasizes coordinating care plans, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with administration to maintain high-quality services for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Assess resident care needs and develop individualized plans of resident care.
• Conduct resident care conferences and daily rounds.
• Report problems to the Administrator and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Direct scheduling and supervision of nursing staff.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Establish good relations with hospital discharge coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

• To Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care
• Conduct resident care conferences
• Report problems to the Administrator, conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Conduct staff meetings with all shifts
• Assume responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations
• Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies
• Supervision and Scheduling
• Conduct interviews and hire nursing service employees
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators
• Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability
• Work cooperatively with facility administration, nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, all facility departments!
