Director of Nursing (DON) – Licensed Practical Nurse – Assisted Living

We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) who is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to lead clinical operations in an assisted living facility. The DON provides clinical leadership for the nursing team and ensures smooth, compliant, and high-quality resident care. This position is responsible for overseeing nursing services within the scope of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, ensuring care delivery aligns with community values and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities – Director of Nursing (DON):

• Make rounds to assess resident status and determine care needs

• Coordinate emergency response and provide support as needed

• Document and report incidents and accidents; assist with investigations

• Ensure caregiving practices comply with all state and regulatory standards

• Participate in relevant committees

• Complete and oversee administrative reports and documentation

• Provide direct care when necessary

• Maintain consistent, dependable on-site attendance

• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications – Director of Nursing (DON):

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of Missouri

• Proven leadership skills with strong organizational and time-management abilities
