Job summary

Azalea Health & Rehab Center in Wilmington, NC invites you to lead as Director of Nursing in a SNF setting, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the Nursing Service Department to meet all federal, state and local standards.

The role works with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure high quality care, adherence to infection control, and effective policies. Full-time position with tuition opportunities, leadership mentorship, generous PTO, and a supportive regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting, preferably long-term care.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR systems.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing in a SNF setting it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. The Director of Nursing is to work directly with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualification:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.
• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.
• Must have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing community or other related healthcare community, preferably in long term care.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
