Healthcare Nursing Center in New Jersey is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing services in a skilled nursing facility. This role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient day-to-day operations of the nursing department.

The DON collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, person-centered care, and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Previous leadership experience in long-term care.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the daily operations of the nursing department.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure the implementation of individualized care plans for residents in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor resident care and ensure quality control standards are met.
• Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate comprehensive care and services.
• Participate in facility management meetings and contribute to policy development.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including the implementation of facility policies.
• Evaluate patient care through regular assessments and audits, making adjustments as needed.
• Respond to patient concerns and communicate with families to provide updates on care and progress.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budgeting for the nursing department.

What We Look For in a Director of Nursing (DON)

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or in a leadership role in long-term care.
