Job summary

Aston Group in Florida seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team, drive clinical outcomes, and ensure resident-centered care. You will oversee nursing operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to raise quality and compliance.

The DON will ensure licensure compliance, manage budgets, and contribute to a positive work culture. On-call duties and possible night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of leadership in a skilled nursing facility
• Participation in on‑call schedule required
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Strong knowledge of nursing regulations and best practices
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience managing budgets and departmental operations
• Proficiency with electronic health records and healthcare technology

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all nursing care operations within the facility
• Develop, implement, and uphold nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance

About the Director of Nursing RN(DON) Role
