Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community in Aurora, IL is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (LPN preferred, RN encouraged) for a full-time day shift to lead the clinical team and ensure resident well-being.

Responsibilities include assessments, care plan development, health promotion, coordination with physicians and families, infection control, medication management, and QA initiatives. Licensure and 2+ years supervisory experience required; senior living preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state nursing licensure; LPN is required with RN preferred.
• Minimum of two years nursing supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.
• Prior senior living experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assess prospective residents and conduct wellness assessments.
• Develop individualized care plans based on resident needs.
• Deliver health promotion and disease prevention counseling.
• Coordinate with residents, families, and physicians for care.
• Hire, train, and supervise the clinical team.
• Oversee infection control and medication management programs.
• Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $92,000.00 - $100,000.00 Salary/year

Job Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visits
• Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans based on the needs and preferences of each resident
• Delivers health promotion services, offers disease prevention counseling, and provides self-care education to residents
• Engages with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience
• Fosters communication by regularly engaging with physicians, pertinent healthcare providers, and family members
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences
• Coordinates the Community’s infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance
• Develop and oversee the Community’s medication management program
• Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Complies with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information

Qualifications

• Maintains current state nursing licensure. LPN required, RN preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years nursing supervisory experience
• Prior senior/supportive living experience strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
