Sunrise Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Virden, IL, seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. The DON will oversee daily operations, mentor RNs/LPNs/CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage resident care plans and documentation.

With a salary range of $110,000–$140,000 annually and a $12,500 sign-on bonus, this role includes health, dental, vision insurance, PTO, daily pay, and education support. An RN license and leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and clinical care.
• Lead, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Oversee resident care plans, assessments, and documentation.
• Support staff training, quality improvement, and survey readiness.
