The Director of Nursing is a key nursing leader responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within the Medical-Surgical service line. The Director leads and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance clinical operations, drive performance improvement, and support regulatory readiness. This position ensures nursing standards are upheld while supporting strategic initiatives, clinical excellence, and staff engagement. The role serves as a mentor, leader, and operational resource for Nurse Managers and frontline staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in acute care settings, preferably in medical/surgical units required.
Education: BSN required; Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
Licenses / Certifications: Valid NYS RN license required. BLS (AHA) certification required.

Special Requirements: Exposure to patient care settings may occur.
